So yeah, I have not made a journal in a long while. Or any literature piece for that matter.
I'm sorry! D:
But I do have to say that some time ago I had actually made a poetry book.
"The Words I Couldn't Speak"
Which is full of 40 poems.
The book is 88 pages long
The cover art was done by my boyfriend,
I should have mentioned the book sooner, but eventually forgot.
It's available in paperback and kindle edition.
The original price for paperback was $13.00 but has been marked down to $11.70.
The kindle edition is $5.00
Here's hoping that any of you are interested ^_^

The Chapter is Finished 0.0

Ha, I'm kinda happy. I just finished the first chapter of my book. It's 26 pages long, it's about a little over 5,500 words.
I decided when I do finish this, I'll just donate copies of it to 2 local libraries, which is just fine with me really.
I want to see if I can exaggerate this book though to reach novel length.
I am happy though that I have friends to help me out with this, even one friend whose sister is a new editor and stuff.
So wish me luck past this point XD

Update on my book

I now have started to write my first few pages.
I am nearly done with my first chapter that introduces the start of the adventure with my main character.
I decided that whenever I finish this book, which I will probably turn it into a novel, I will still print 10 copies. But I will try to get ISBN codes for them so I can donate a couple of them to 2 libraries I have in mind. My local one and my school. I say that because I know I can get it done at least under a year. I have my summer coming up, and that's a whole 3 months of me usually not doing anything.
I'm pretty excited about this though. It's probably one of the best writing projects I've ever started and that's why I'm determined about it. I think I'll feel really accomplished to have a copy of something I've written in my hands.
All I hope is that this doesn't back-fire on me.

Update on Book Idea

Soooooo. I have found 2 self-publishing companies that could help me actually sell my book once I finish. It'll most likely be a long process for me to finish as I have to be able to balance it with schoolwork. I think it will be something I can put more heavy time into when it hits summer time.
I found someone who would be willing to do the cover art and a few illustrations for me, but it would take a while for her to get to it which I'm fine with really.
The cost at one website uses a package at 800$ and they would distribute it online to Amazon, Barnes&Nobles, and other retail bookstores. They will offer it in paperback as well and handle the ISBN codes and such.
So really I have to work on a manuscript for them, and I'm glad that my friend said she could offer help from her sister who is an editor.
Before I even think of paying them and doing this, I will give my manuscript to some people for reading to know if it would be good.
I have a title and a basic plot so far.
And if anyone has any techniques they use for writing chapters, let me know.
I'm not very great with traditional outlines, so that is why I ask.
